Occult:
Although it is associated in many people’s minds with “black magic” and
other dark arts, the word “occult” simply means “hidden”, i.e., having to do
with information that is known to a select few.

|
Oneness:
The essential unified nature of all creation at all levels, which is joined
in connective consciousness by various types of energy. This correlates to
the “unified field theory” long sought-after by the sciences, and tends to
be borne out by Schrödinger’s “observer effect” theory. The latter states
that even the tiniest units of energy have consciousness.

Reiki:
A popular hands-on method of energy-healing. See also:

in the
Healing Arts section of this website.

Reincarnation:
A series of births and rebirths, through which a human being lives many
lives. This principle is a common tenet of Hindi and Buddhist faiths, and
belief in reincarnation is quite widespread among the followers of many
other religions as well. Many Christians see it as a manifestation of
eternal life, foreshadowed by Christ’s reference to “many mansions” in the
house of the Father. See also:
transmigration.

 |
Spirit Attachment:
The same as “entity attachment,” except that it would not include those rare
cases in which the attaching entity is another incarnate human. See also:
entity attachment,
exorcism.

Spirit Guides:
Typically, those invisible personalities who guide, guard, inspire and
generally care for individual humans. They also often speak through
channels/mediums, providing communication between the visible and invisible
realms. The term “Spirit Guide” covers a broad range of individuals, which
often includes Angels and ArchAngels, Ascended Masters, figures of faith,
animal spirit helpers, formerly-incarnate persons, and even
extraterrestrials. Most Guides have distinctly individual personalities,
and all have personal signature energies. Many have a strong sense of
humor, and can be quite playful. When it comes to channeling, Spirit Guides
gravitate toward those incarnate humans with whom they feel - or can create
- a bond of mutual respect and compatibility. The channel/Guide team can
take a simple, narrow focus, or it can be quite broad and complex.
Generally, the highest Guides provide information, advice and opinion, but
do not make decisions for the channel, supporting his or her
self-empowerment instead. Guides do not take advantage of their channel, or
seek to interfere with his or her free will. Those who behave badly toward
their channels are not worthy of the name “Guide” - they are better termed
possessions (or possession-wannabees). |
